Abstract

During the COVID-19 Pandemie, the effectiveness of government measures, recommendations and vaccination campaigns was influenced by the extent to which people were willing to adjust their behavior in response to measures and communication by the government. However, the antecedents of the willingness to change behavior are often overlooked in the analysis of a pandemic. There are individual models for disease distribution and opinion formation in structured populations, but there is a need for a model where the 2 processes are brought together and influence each other.
