Abstract
General: The programme is targeting to provide rapid response to Mpox outbreak in Uganda. This will be done through supporting the Regional Public Health Emergency Operations Centers (PHEOCs), Strengthening the Surveillance team to rapidly identify cases and clusters of infections and tailor effective control and prevention measures. Laboratory diagnostic capacity strengthening to enhance the detection and confirmation of MPOX cases. Increase of public awareness and counter misinformation and disinformation around Mpox. Will also focus on strengthening the Mpox case management to reduce morbidity and break chains of transmission in healthcare settings and communities.
