Abstract

This wastewater monitoring makes it possible to estimate the circulation of SARS-CoV-2, influenza viruses A and B, as well as respiratory syncytial viruses (RSV) in Switzerland in a timely manner. The wastewater monitoring includes the: - regular analysis of wastewater samples for gene fragments of SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and B, and RSV - quantification of the gene fragments of these viruses - further development of the methodology, if needed - examination of the applicability of this monitoring for other pathogens
