Abstract

Infectious diseases disproportionately affect certain population groups and identification of these groups is crucial for an effective public health response. To protect the population during pandemics, it is necessary to predict risk groups and understand why and how to respond in a targeted manner. The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the urgent need for better tools to identify vulnerable populations.
