Abstract
After the acute phase of COVID-19, a significant proportion of patients have long-term complaints (post-COVID), which lead to many limitations. The causes of post-COVID are unknown, which means that the course cannot be accurately predicted and proper treatment is not possible. Better knowledge of the underlying mechanisms of post-COVID can help in developing objective diagnostic criteria and optimally appropriate treatment for each patient with post-COVID.
