Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, national guidelines were drawn up in the Netherlands for lifting isolation among corona patients. Hospitals have room to apply this guideline as they see fit. The SCIP-COVID-19 project ( 10430102110003 ) showed that major differences in policy and implementation have emerged. This variation not only existed between institutions, but also changed over time. This underlines the need for a more coordinated and responsive insulation policy, which is both scientifically substantiated and consistent with practice. This project builds on these insights and will therefore contribute to better preparation for future pandemics.
