Abstract
Name of applicant Troels Scheel Title Associate Professor Institution University of Copenhagen Amount DKK 80,000 Year 2026 Type of grant Conferences Over 30 years, the HCV-Flavi meeting series has helped turn hepatitis C from a fatal into a curable disease. The 2026 meeting expands the scope to viruses like Zika, dengue and tick-borne encephalitis, which are spreading due to climate change. By gathering the world's brightest minds, we aim to accelerate basic understanding of infection biology leading to novel vaccines and therapeutics.
