Abstract
High workload, changing functions, new working methods. A heavy demand was placed on the mental resilience and vitality of library staff. The COVID-19 pandemic has only reinforced this. The corona observation monitor shows that the workload was different as a result of the adapted services. For one, it meant extra tasks and a higher workload. For others, the loss of tasks brought new challenges: what work can someone take up instead? So there was more work pressure and uncertainty in the work than before. As a Library Work, the researchers wanted to contribute to a suitable and vital career for everyone. That is why they have developed a new initiative to improve the mental vitality of library staff. 45 library employees could apply for a voucher (maximum 1,000 euros, incl. VAT) for those who needed support from a coach as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
