Abstract

Long-term impact of respiratory viral infections on the genetic landscape of lung cells Dr. R. Crespo -> Erasmus Medical Center -> Singapore -> Duke-NUS Medical School -> 24 Viral infections such as SARS-CoV-2 can have lasting effects on lung health, even after recovery. This project investigates whether viral infections leave a genetic imprint on infected and surrounding cells, and how these changes affect long-term lung function and recovery. The insights gained help develop strategies to improve respiratory health.
