Abstract

The ecosystem of bacteria, viruses and fungi in the intestines can be disrupted for a longer period after a COVID-19 infection and contribute to the worsening of post-COVID complaints. Research into this often focuses on adults, while this ecosystem can be very different in children. This means that some treatments to restore this ecosystem may work less well. It is therefore necessary to analyze this ecosystem in post-COVID children and find appropriate treatments.
