Feast of Culture

"Feast of Culture" project aims to promote exchanges between citizens of different countries as a first project objective. The second objective is to give citizens the opportunity to discover the cultural diversity of the European Union and to realize that European values and cultural heritage are the foundation of a common future in EU. The third objective is to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among EU citizens. Within the Project, a three-day international conference "Feast of Culture" will be organized. The project includes preparatory activities, organization of three-day international event and a reporting period lasting for 10 months, in total. The international event will be organized in Sopronkovesd, Hungary, the lead partner. The conference will involve 192 foreign and 43 local citizens, a total of 235 participants. The project involves 3 partners from 3 EU countries: Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia. The date of international conference "Feast of Culture" coincides with the organization of the traditional local festival "Gastropicnic". The first project activity, an interactive lecture "European Cuisines", is designed to present national cuisines (Hungarian, Gipsy and Jewish) with cooking and tasting. The second project activity is performance "Folk traditions and European identity" which gathers representatives of different cultures and communities performing folk music and dances in folk costumes. Under the third project activity, a round table "COVID 19: past and future" will be organized in order to invite citizens to exchange good practices and the latest information on impact of COVID 19 pandemic. The fourth project activity is related to formulation of Memorandum of Cooperation as a framework for future cooperation. Invitation will be send to all partners to sign this document and accept new legal framework for cooperation. The Lead partner will secure dissemination of information by using their own and partners' media channels.
