Abstract

Epidemic infections are a major and ongoing threat to health and economic prosperity. COVID-19 devastated many of the world's most developed health care systems and economies. Meanwhile, climate change is altering the spatial distribution of mosquito-borne diseases. My proposal will integrate methods in public health, ecology, and mathematics to develop more effective strategies for the surveillance and control of epidemic infections, improving population health.
